Dear Spoutible Community,

Three years ago, we made a promise. Not just to build a platform, but to prove something: that social media doesn't have to break us. It can bring out the best in us.

Today, as we close out 2025, I'm proud to say we've kept that promise.

This year tested us all. The digital landscape grew more turbulent, more polarized, more exhausting. Platforms we once trusted continued to erode. And yet, here in this corner of the internet, something different happened. You showed up. You engaged with intention. You lifted each other up. You chose substance over spectacle.

That choice matters more than you know.

Every thoughtful reply you've written, every Accuracy Alert you've heeded, every Pod conversation that turned a stranger into a friend: these aren't small things. They're revolutionary acts in an age that often rewards the opposite. You've proven that a community built on respect isn't naive; it's necessary.

This year, we didn't just maintain Spoutible. We evolved it. We listened to you and built accordingly. We stayed independent when the pressure to compromise was real. We remained committed to the belief that your safety and dignity are not negotiable. In an era where so many platforms have become playgrounds for the powerful and the cruel, we chose to remain a home for the people.

But I won't pretend the work is done. The challenges facing independent platforms, and the communities they serve, are immense. Misinformation adapts. Bad actors persist. The fight for a healthier internet is ongoing.

So as we step into 2026, I'm asking you to stay in this fight with us. Not as passive users, but as co-architects of what social media can become. Invite others who are searching for something better. Engage with empathy. Hold us accountable. Dream bigger with us.

The future of Spoutible isn't something I'm building for you. It's something we're building together.
