Misinformation and Disinformation 

 

Our platform is committed to promoting accurate and truthful information. We encourage users to fact-check information before sharing it on our platform. Misinformation refers to false or inaccurate information that is spread unintentionally. Disinformation refers to false or misleading information that is spread deliberately with the intention of causing harm. 

 

We are committed to promoting accurate and trustworthy information on our platform. We believe that access to reliable information is essential for the functioning of a healthy and informed society. 

 

We have a zero-tolerance policy for the deliberate spread of false information. Accounts that violate this policy may be suspended or banned. 


Examples of misinformation on Spoutible may include: 


  • False claims or rumors about a product, service, or event. 
  • Incorrect information spread unintentionally, such as an article that cites a source with outdated information. 

Examples of disinformation include: 


  • Purposely spreading false or misleading information to manipulate public opinion or influence decisions. 
  • Fabricated information that is deliberately spread to deceive others, such as fake news stories, conspiracy theories, and hoaxes. 


Both misinformation and disinformation can have serious consequences, such as eroding trust in institutions and causing harm to individuals or groups.  

 

If you come across a post, account, or any other content that you believe violates this policy, please report it to us. Spoutible will review all reports and take appropriate action, including but not limited to removal of the content, disabling the user's account, and reporting the user to law enforcement if necessary.
